Palm wax is arguably the most beautiful, long burning, high performance wax available for candle use.
Palm wax is made with fruit from the oil palm Elaeis tree.
It's a natural, renewable, bio-degradable and sustainable resource.
The soft palm fruit is harvested from the tree and sent to palm mills where refinement occurs. The seed is separated from the fruit leaving behind the soft fleshy outer layer which is then steamed to soften it up. It is then pressed to extract its palm oil, and then distilled to recover the wax. No chemicals are ever used during this process.
We choose palm wax because it is naturally one of the hardest waxes available. It has a much higher melting point compared to softer waxes, such as paraffin or soy. This means that palm will burn down much more slowly, making it a significantly longer burning, high performance wax for candle use.
It is also known to hold and release fragrance more proficiently due to its binding properties from the natural large crystal molecular structure. This structure also allows the wax to hold higher volumes of fragrance.

Palm oil is commonly used as a cooking ingredient, or used as cooking oil. It’s big in cosmetics and is known to make outstanding soap. Like other vegetable oils it can be used to create biodiesel for internal combustion engines. We know it for its superior wax used for candles.
With the growing global demand for edible oils and bio-fuels, palm oil production has increased by more than 50% in the last decade. There is planetary concern for the natural forest space and loss of animal habitat needed to grow the palm trees.
We only buy our wax from Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified palm growers. This organization insures the ethical growing and processing of palm oil products.
